ASUS PureGo PD100, to discover contaminants in your kitchen

ASUS has just introduced its new  ASUS PureGo  PD100 . It is a very curious device whose objective is to help us know if there is any contaminant in our fruits, vegetables and vegetables that could compromise our health.

ASUS PureGo PD100 features

This device has dimensions of  102 x 98 x 47 mm . It is a circular product that incorporates an  optical ultraviolet light detector capable of detecting certain polluting particles that may be in our food. To use it, we will have to wash the products and then place them in a large container by immersing them in water and letting them float.

Once we have the food ready, we take the ASUS device and also submerge it in the water. We wait a few moments and observe the  LED light  emitted by the gadget itself. If we see a green light, it means that it is clean of residues and contaminants. If red light appears, it implies danger. If the light is orange we should clean them a bit more. All this information is sent to the user through the mobile app via  Bluetooth , so that he can save reports, statistics and a history.

Is it a practical product? The truth is that he leaves us conflicting opinions. On the one hand, it is undoubtedly very useful that we can have help of this type to take care of our health, but it is also true that both the cost of the device and the time it takes to do the test is something that may not compensate too much if you are somewhat lazy and you are one of those who ends up putting this type of product in a drawer never to take it out again.

Availability and price

The ASUS PureGo PD100 comes out in a first stage in the United States, for a price of  199 dollars . Whether it can be purchased directly in Europe has not been mentioned yet.
