Clean the cooker hood It can be, in many cases, a somewhat tedious task. This is because, in general, it is an appliance that we pay little attention to when cleaning. It is not usually dirty every day, as, for example, the ceramic hob or the kitchen robot do, and lack of practice usually comes from ignorance.
Today we tell you how you can clean the extractor hood in a simple and effective way.
Tips to clean the cooker hood easily
The first thing you have to do is remove your fear. It is an appliance like any other, but it has its peculiarities and this is the only thing you should take into account.
That said, you have to distinguish two parts: the filters and the outer part. Remove the filters and see if they are dishwasher safe. If they are, you can put them in without fear, but if they are not or you prefer to clean it by hand, write this down. In a generously sized basin, add a solution of half water and half vinegar, with a tablespoon of baking soda (depending on the amount of water and vinegar you may have to add more or less bicarbonate). Insert the filters here so that the mixture works and leave it for twenty minutes. Now, add some KH7 type grease remover and wipe it with a damp cloth. Finally, to dry it, wipe it with a dry cloth.
Now it’s time to clean the outer part of the hood. It will be enough to give it with a cloth moistened in the previous solutions (in this case, first grease remover and then water with vinegar and bicarbonate) and then dry well with another dry cloth that does not scratch.
And ready. We recommend doing this process frequently to prevent the fat from sticking too hard and making it more difficult for you to leave it as new.
